Since the media, especially in Texas are more concerned with “Institutional  Protectionism ” e.g. Police Department,  the only way to get the truth out regarding Arthur’s trial and Punishment Phase  was to address it on his  website!

NOW FOR THE TRUTH!....

"In the Halls of Justice, Justice wasn't even in the building"

Important to review video to see Arthur explain in his own words; along with his lawyer that was retained at this time!

Ar

Arthur L Williams, was convicted of Capital Murder in 1982, following the death of Houston Detective Daryl W. Shirley. To achieve this conviction the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, along with Houston Police Department, wanted to make sure, at any COST, that a guilty verdict of "Capital Murder" was enacted along with the help of "Media" who FAILED to include pertinent details, one being Detective Shirley did have some fault in his OWN DEATH. IT WORKED!

1 - The final legal consideration in Texas vs. Arthur Lee Williams II was an order to either commute his sentence to Life in Prison (with the possibility of parole) or conduct a new trial to determine punishment. A new trial could have re-imposed the Death Sentence or made Arthur immediately eligible for parole. Arthur was persuaded to forego a trial accept an alternative sentence with harsh conditions, life plus a consecutive 60 years. This most recent result in Arthur's case is Constitutionally questionable.

2 -Is it not "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" to compel a man to waive 36 years of time served on Death Row, in return for a Life Sentence that provides NO credit for time already served?

3 - Is it also not questionable to require someone to waive the Statute of Limitations on a nearly 40 year old UNTRIED case in another state and plead  guilty to a charge of robbery in order to receive a consecutive sentence of 60 years that only begins after serving a minimum of twenty years for the Life Sentence!

4 - AT NO TIME WAS ARTHUR'S MENTAL STATE ADDRESSED EITHER BY HIS COURT APPOINTED ATTORNEY, NOR THE JUDGE WHO WAS ASSIGNED TO HIS CASE!!!!!!

The media has NEVER asked Arthur, his family or friends, THEIR opinion, we think it is about time the TRUTH TO BE FINALLY TOLD.

Study: Texas’ ‘Harsh and Inhumane’ Death-Row Conditions Amount to ‘Torture’

“This prolonged solitary confinement has overwhelmingly negative effects on inmates’ mental health,” the study reports, “exacerbating existing mental health conditions and causing many prisoners to develop mental illness for the first time.”

If my Brother’s in Touble” – By Jeffery Osborne

Do you ever feel it
When people get unkind
You can hear it in their voices
They get poison on their minds

Though ignorance
Should never be excused
I'll do my best
To pick up their attitudes

I'm moving away again
But there's one thing
That will make me take a stand

If my brother's in trouble
I will always help him out
If my brother's in trouble
I will turn the world around
I will fight for his rights
No matter where the trouble seems to lie
If my brother's in trouble so am I
If my brother's in trouble so am I
So am I

All across the land
Young people are walking blind
But if the heat comes down
I'll be standing by your side

For I am there for you
Like you are there for me
Nothing feels as good
As a brother's loyalty

I'm talking about family
What my brother means to me

If my brother's in trouble
I will always help him out
If my brother's in trouble
I will turn the world around
I will fight for his rights
No matter where the trouble seems to lie
If my brother's in trouble so am I
If my brother's in trouble so am I
So am I

I'll be there for you
Just reach out your hands
And I'm gonna pull you through

I'm talking about family
And what my brother means to me

If my brother's in trouble
I will always help him out
If my brother's in trouble
I'm gonna turn the world around
I will fight for his rights
No matter where the problem seems to lie
If my brother's in trouble so am I

Brother
I'm talking about my brother
Brother
My brother, my brother
You're in trouble so am I
So am I, so am I

I will be there
If you're in trouble
Reach out your hands
Call on me brother
I will be there
If you're in trouble
Reach out your hands
Call on me brother
I will be there
If you're in trouble
